From the traditional open pollinated seed of pepper of Bahovo , in the villages of north Greece, this smelly pepper is produced, which is in the region since the Ottoman domination where it remained. Pepper Bahovo is a traditional variety, a plant population that has evolved into this particular geographical area after long-term natural selection.
The peppers are cultivated in an organic way in the fields of Xifiani of Aridea village and they are separated in sweet and hot. They are collected usually in the middle of September and October. Six kilos of fresh pepper, give 1 kilo of red pepper. After selection, some of them are dried in the sun (as our grandfathers did in the past) and some of them are dried in an oven of our construction. Afterwards, they are transferred in the old traditional watermill of our region in order to be ground in low temperatures and to be transformed in this dark red powder.

No artificial color added, no preservatives, not mixed with other ingredients.
It fits with vegetables, sauces, legumes, meat, and fish.

Date of expiration: at least December 2019
It is better to be preserved in glass jars or in paper bags, in cool and dry place, not in the sun.
During the hot summer time is good to put in freeger for 24 hours to preserve (1-2 times).
