We should agree a procedure for pricing the shipping cost for physical goods.
There are two options:
1- Shipping is not included in the price, because it depends of the country. So then when the seller knows where the buyer comes from, creates a new invoice in faircoin for that payment.
2. Shipping is included in the price, doing a general principing that makes more expensive for the closers one, and more accessible for the farer consumers.
I think that the first one, should be the more fair option, but to facilitate this at the technical level, we should promote to create some kind of invoicing and ordering facilities for shipping. An advanced option related that could be, that the seller preconfigure different pricing costs depending of the shipping adress, so then the price is presented from the first order.separated as a part of the same payment.
What do you think?

Hi!

About shipping I think all the stores that have physical products must add info in each product about if shipping cost are included or not and in this last case a short explanation about how to proceed for shipping cost, just for the customer could now before to make the purchase.

Salud.

/// Pseudo English ///

Hello All,
Hello, first apologize for answering in Castilian, down herewith a google translation: P (as there will be bad translations you can edit the administrators if you see fit)

Give the possibility that the seller fill out the shipping charges for different regions seems to be a very interesting option for us to have an excellent experience, I guess it's an extra programming work, but good serious. Anyway, to avoid blind eye and others, would not address income until some agreements on shipping costs are not accepted first.

To all this s congratulations to everyone who worked on this tool ye, I think it is an important step if we manage it with love;)

Hi,

the shipping should be related to the regional markets and the locations of partners and customers. In ddt we offer two prices for shipping based on ours shipping providers: One for the Iberian peninsula and another for the rest of the world.

There is also a free option for people near of us or with we can manage and agreement, for example sometimes we send packets to people living in the country through the vans wich comes to the city to deliver vegetables baskets. Also we take advantage of people travelling to send packets to Barna, Castellon, Madrid, .... It would be nice to develop an p2p alternative to multinationals shipping companies like Bla Bla Car or Uber but for packets.

Regards.

So, we should have an option in the menu for setup a product, where we can add region based shipping cost, with different options including free based in personal meeting or alternative ways of ports.

Then the consumer of goods will see, how each product have a complementary cost which include the transport and how all are added in the checkout for and individual payment

Questions:

- The default shipping adress from the registered users should be based for suggest a shipping area, that will reach the deal at least the shipping is changed for that buy; right?

- We still have a challenge related the shipping cost that could change based in the quantity of the demand. One option for the seller could be to discount the shipping cost when the buy is bigger that certain amount, that makes easier the user experience. But we should research for a longer step if there are a need for personalizing still more the shipping cost depending og the number of items thats has been bought.

- If we develop that system of shipping cost, then still individual shops will have the option of not charging the cost by default, but adding a personalized offer, that would need a custom hidden product for an specific user. In this sense I think that still we need custom hidden products as a new feature, for cover different needs.

We discussed this point at the first assembly(this past April 7th) and the results are summarised in the meeting notes at http://board.net/p/Fairmarket7April2016 .

Here are some of the notes that relate to the details of what we plan to do:

Sellers will be responsible for managing local shipping, and selecting companies or transport networks to work with, and each price structure will be valid only in certain regions.

So shoppers will see this calculation, but the admin area will also need to contain a a field where the merchant introduce shipping costs for every product and region, and some packet discounts, and set kilograms values for every product (shipping is related to weight).Ursina: I suggest to have these points to choose: 1. shipping will be organised by seller or 2. by buyer or organised by a coop member. if 1. seller will have to organise, he will have 24h to suggest a price and buyer has another 24h to agree. sebas: we can start defining a starting system, with open fields for the merchant. enric: that perhaps is not so hard because already is done but there are some incompatibility problems that santi could look on it (i mean territorial modules)

Actions/tasks:

the group will work to turn on the shipping module so that it can be used as an option on checkout to calculate a price that includes shipping by may. (santi, sebas, ale)

look at territorial modules incompatibilities? (santi? ale to check if he can or maybe we can!)

ale will put these tasks in the new task system on devmarket.fair.coop.

revise form fields and chat with tech team/santi about which fields should be required or optional when editing in general so we have location data in all cases and it doesn't mess things up. put all resulting tasks in new task system, and reorgianse tasks in forum so they are more clear(ale)

orgainse a chat about shipping so we can pin down an interface and details of how it will work(ale, ursina)
